Corey Joseph Masklee is a dynamic NYC-based performer whose journey in the arts has been nothing short of a show-stopping adventure. A lifelong lover of the stage, Corey began his artistic journey early, dazzling audiences at competitions like Starpower, where he snagged first place in his age group with a charming rendition of “Me and My Shadow.” After a brief intermission to make waves as a competitive youth swimmer, Corey felt the pull of the spotlight once more and dove headfirst back into performing—a passion that continues to fuel him to this day.

 

Corey honed his dance technique under the expert guidance of Elaine Kudo and Buddy Balou, two legendary mentors who instilled in him not only precision and discipline but also the art of storytelling through movement. Their influence became the foundation for a versatile and emotionally resonant dance style that Corey continues to refine.

 

After completing his B.F.A. in Musical Theatre at The New School, Corey immersed himself in New York City’s vibrant performing arts scene. He takes ongoing dance classes in a variety of styles and keeps his vocal cords in top shape with Holli Leggett and Mike Ruckles. His relentless drive for growth and excellence has opened doors to opportunities on National and International tours and at celebrated regional theaters, including The REV, Ogunquit Playhouse, and Westchester Broadway Theatre.
